Hong Kong Jails Israeli for Passport Violation
An Israeli businessman was sentenced to two years in prison Friday for possession of false passports and an illegal stun gun in a case that may have been indirectly linked to arms deals between China and Israel.
The businessman, Zvi Gafni, also was fined $90 for possession of a small quantity of marijuana.
Gafni, 36, who said part of his business involved selling Israeli and South African arms to the Hong Kong police, was arrested Dec. 19. The fake passports and stun gun were found in searches of his office and home.
