Blood Contribution Will Earn Couples Health Certificate
Marriage health certificates will be provided free of charge to couples who donate one unit of blood per person to the Blood Bank at Memorial Medical Center of Long Beach, 2801 Atlantic Ave.
The certification procedure includes a venereal disease research lab test and AIDS testing of both people, as well as rubella screening for the bride. The certificate will be issued seven days after the blood donation and will be valid for up to 30 days after the tests are done.
Memorial’s blood donor room is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. For an appointment call 595-3411.
