3 Students Blamed in Car Window Shootings
More than 200 automobile windows were shot out during a monthlong vandalism foray that ended with the arrest of three high school students recognized by a witness during a final attack, authorities said Saturday.
“The suspects, who are all local area high school students, used BB guns and air rifles to shoot out car windows, causing an estimated $33,000 in damage,” Deputy Richard Dinsmoor said.
Two 18-year-old men surrendered at the sheriff’s station in Industry about 6 p.m. after learning that they had been identified as suspects, Dinsmoor said. A 17-year-old youth was arrested at his home a short time later.
