Criticism of Conrad
Any criticism of Israel, I have often noted, brings a flurry of letters, almost all of them from my fellow Jews.
To accuse Conrad of anti-Semitism because of extreme, perhaps unfair, cartoons is as logical as calling him reactionary because his extreme, perhaps unfair, cartoons on abortion agree with the position of Sen. Jesse Helms (R-N.C.).
Rather than canceling their subscriptions to The Times, the defenders of Israel might read Israeli David Grossman’s recently published “Yellow Wind.”
