State Sen. Bill Greene pleaded guilty to drunk-driving charges in Turlock Municipal Court and was sentenced to two days in Stanislaus County Jail. The Los Angeles Democrat was arrested March 5 on West Main Street near a California 99 off-ramp after officers saw him standing near an open car doorway and urinating in the street, according to police reports. Greene’s state car had sustained minor front end damage and had grass and dirt caked under the car, police reports said. Greene told officers that he had downed a beer at the state Capitol and had several others on his way back to Los Angeles, police said. Greene also pleaded guilty to driving with a blood alcohol level of .10% or more and driving with an expired license. The 56-year-old politician, a first offender, will spend two days in jail, beginning June 17, and pay a $900 fine.
