Steven L. Parten has been named executive vice president of Bromar Inc., a Newport Beach food industry marketing company. Parten, who is now president of Bromar Arizona and vice president of Bromar Inc., will assume his new position in August. Parten joined Bromar 18 years ago in the Seattle operation. In addition, James T. Smith Jr., vice president of Bromar, was named senior vice president, and Maureen Bourne was appointed vice president, confection, for Bromar. She continues to hold the position of vice president of the confection division of Bromar Southern California.
