State Board of Equalization Opens Laguna Hills Business Service Office

Recognizing that the area south of Irvine has become one of the fastest growing in the county, the State Board of Equalization has opened a business service office in Laguna Hills, the 58th board office in the state and the second in Orange County.

The office, at 23141 Moulton Parkway, has a staff of 26 and is a branch of the main Santa Ana office, said Bob Haeussler, branch supervisor.

In announcing the new office, Board of Equalization Chairman Ernest J. Dronenburg Jr. said the number of businesses in South Orange County has grown to 24,000 from 12,000 a decade ago.

The Board of Equalization is responsible for registering and auditing retail businesses and issues retail sellers permits.
