Compared to the recent Brucemania in Southern California, Michaelmania proved to be a low-key phenomenon Monday. Still, Michael Jackson did brisk box office business as tickets for his Nov. 7-9 stand at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Irvine sold out in short order. Only the first two dates had been advertised, but the third night was put on sale when the first two sold out within an hour, according to Fred Rosen, chairman of the board of TicketMaster. However, Orange County ticket brokers already were quoting prices of $200 to $400 Monday for seats in the first 10 or 20 rows.
