American Pacesetter, Newport Beach, reported a net profit of $1.4 million for the first quarter, compared to net income of $619,000 for the same period in 1987. Revenues more than doubled, to nearly $47 million from $19.2 million a year earlier. The company is involved in real estate development and owns San Clemente Savings and Loan.
