Griffin, Trump Resume Talks

Merv Griffin and Donald Trump resumed their on-again, off-again negotiations for control of Resorts International Inc. today, a week after talks about the casino company collapsed amid mutual recriminations.

The pair first agreed to a deal April 14 after a month of sparring. On May 11, Trump announced the deal was off, accusing Griffin of failing to show that he could arrange financing and seeking changes in other, unspecified areas. Griffin maintained that financing was not a problem and accused Trump of trying to rearrange terms of the deal.
