Caesar’s Surgery Postpones Show

Share

This weekend’s performances of the “Living Legends of Comedy” at the California Theater have been postponed because of a recent operation on comedian Sid Caesar.

Shows originally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in San Diego were to have launched the tour of Caesar, Milton Berle and Danny Thomas, but complications after Caesar’s recent double hernia surgery delayed rehearsals, according to a California Theater spokeswoman. Instead, the three stars will appear here on June 25, for one show only.

The Legends tour will open as scheduled May 27 in Las Vegas, then go on to Atlantic City.

California Theater general manager Marcella Bejval said tickets for the original May 21 date are good for the same reserved seats at the June 25 performance. Sunday ticket holders can exchange their tickets at no cost for the June 25 date at the California Theater, 1122 Fourth Ave., Room 302, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays.

Refunds, Bejval said, will be made at the point of purchase, or by contacting the theater, but before June 3.
