Ten Polish soldiers were killed and 16 were injured when a military transport train crashed in the northwestern Polish town of Pila, the official PAP news agency reported. “According to initial investigations, the probable cause was derailment at a branch in the track,” the news agency said. In another incident, two missiles fell accidentally from a Soviet warplane and exploded on a farm near the southwestern town of Przemkow, damaging buildings and knocking out power but causing no injuries, PAP reported.
