The Campaign for a Seat in 40th Congressional District

Share

As I read your article “Baker Criticizes 2 Rivals for No Stand on Growth Initiative (May 1),” I was not surprised to learn that Nathan Rosenberg refuses to make public his stand on the pending initiative.

Several weeks ago we received a campaign plea from Rosenberg asking for our support. Like many of our aspiring local politicians, Rosenberg found it politically expedient to “beat up” on the Irvine Co. and development interests.

After I finished reading his campaign pitch, I referred back to the first page of the letter.

Prominently listed on Rosenberg’s letterhead were the names of some of Orange County’s biggest developers--William Lyon, Katherine Thompson, J.M. Peters and a member of the Lusk family.

Then I realized he also lists support from an Arizona senator and congressman. If you have traveled to Phoenix or Tucson lately, you know that those areas have some of the worst gridlock in America.

Who does Nathan Rosenberg think he’s fooling? Does he think residents of the 40th Congressional District will fall for this kind of obvious sham?

Personally, I am offended by Rosenberg’s continued blatant attempt to mislead the voters of Orange County.
