Whittaker Corp.’s income jumped 128% to $7.1 million in the second quarter. Sales totaled $125.2 million, up from $106.3 million a year ago, the Los Angeles-based technology and chemical company said. Its chemical segment attained the highest quarterly operating profit in its history--more than $6.6 million, the company said.
