Hallmark Cards lost its appeal to overturn a court order that prevented the giant greeting card maker from selling a line of cards that look identical to those produced by Blue Mountain Arts, a small Boulder, Colo., greeting card company. Hallmark had challenged a preliminary injunction issued by U.S. District Judge James Carrigan in Colorado, who said “that Hallmark chose to imitate instead of innovate.” The case involves Blue Mountain’s “Airbrush Feelings” and “WaterColor Feelings” lines of cards.
