Arcadia : Teacher Contract Ratified
Teachers and the Arcadia Unified School District have ratified a three-year contract retroactive to last July, concluding almost a year of negotiations.
The agreement was approved by the Arcadia Teachers Assn. at a meeting last Thursday and by the Board of Trustees on Monday. It gives teachers a 4% salary increase and a .4% increase in benefits for the current school year. In each of the next two years, salaries will rise up to 4.5% and medical and dental benefits will increase from $2,275 to $3,000 for each teacher.
