Local News in Brief : Laguna Beach : Planning Commission to Hold Parking Session

The city Planning Commission will conduct a study session from 9 a.m. until noon today on the city’s parking management plan.

The City Council has asked the commission to review and update the plan, which covers parking meter rates, in-lieu parking fees for businesses, parking structures, the transit system and parking for the annual Festival of the Arts.

During the informal session, which will be held in the City Hall conference room, commissioners also will prepare a survey for residents on parking issues.

Commissioner Wayne L. Peterson said several parking studies have been conducted during the past 10 years, and they will be summarized in the commission’s report.

A formal public hearing on the parking plan will be conducted by the commission on June 22. For more information, call (714) 497-3311.
