Patrick Duffy, who plays Bobby Ewing on “Dallas,” will host a two-hour special for CBS from Sea World on June 18. “Sea World’s All-Star, Lone Star Celebration,” a salute to Texas, also will feature Marie Osmond, Waylon Jennings, Trini Lopez, Natalie Cole, George Strait and Gloria Loring, among others.

“L.A. Law” meets “Night Court” in “Glitz,” a TV movie for NBC in which Jimmy Smits of the NBC drama series and Markie Post of the latter NBC comedy series are romantically paired. Smits plays a detective who’s being stalked by an ex-con, played by John Diehl, formerly of “Miami Vice.” Also in the cast is Robin Strasser, who recently co-starred in “Baby M” and appears regularly on ABC’s “One Life to Live.”

PBS has another season of its “American Masters” anthology set to begin in July. Among the performers and other creative artists who will be profiled in the documentary series this summer are Lillian Gish, Duke Ellington, Aretha Franklin and Woody Guthrie.

Randy Quaid and Jack Warden will star in “Dead Solid Perfect” for HBO. The movie is based on Dan Jenkins’ comic novel about golf. Jenkins co-wrote the script with director Bobby Roth.

The Disney Channel has acquired rights to three acclaimed Fred Astaire TV specials and plans to show them this year--reportedly the first full-length broadcast since they originally aired. “Astaire Time,” from 1960, is scheduled to be shown June 5. Later will come “An Evening With Fred Astaire,” which first aired in 1958 and won nine Emmy Awards, and “Another Evening With Fred Astaire,” from 1959.

Country singer Lee Greenwood will be seen in concert on cable’s Nashville Network in June. The 60-minute program was taped during Greenwood’s USO tour to U.S. military bases in Spain, Italy, Greece and Turkey. Its first telecast will be June 17.

Timothy Daly stars in “Red Earth, White Earth,” a TV movie for CBS about the conflict between a group of white farmers and Native Americans who feel they have a right to the land. Ralph Waite and Genevieve Bujold portray Daly’s parents.

Shelley Duvall, who already has produced “Faerie Tale Theatre” and “Tall Tales & Legends” for Showtime, is at work developing a new series for the pay-cable network. This one is called “Nightmare Classic” and would consist of adaptations of well-known horror stories.
