Americans at the superpower summit in Moscow will be able to wake up next Tuesday to a live U.S. radio show broadcast on Soviet radio. Frank Murphy of station WAVA-FM of Arlington, Va., said the station would broadcast U.S. and Soviet pop music over Moscow’s Costelradio Channel 3 at 7:15 a.m. Moscow time. The broadcast will also include an interview with actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, two commercials and Washington’s weather report. Murphy said the broadcast is mainly aimed at the pack of U.S. journalists and officials accompanying President Reagan, but disc jockey Mike O’Meara expressed confidence that Soviet citizens with radio sets within range will still appreciate the show. Even if the Soviets who tune in speak no English, O’Meara says “they can relate to the crazy sounds.”
