Skeletal remains found by workers at an apartment complex in Federal Way, Wash., between Seattle and Tacoma, were identified as those of a young runaway listed as a victim of the Green River serial killer. The discovery of Debra Lorraine Estes’ remains brings to 40 the number of people officially identified as victims of the nation’s worst known serial killer. An additional eight young missing women are listed as probable victims of the killer. Estes, 15 when she vanished, was last seen in 1982.
