A crowd estimated at 4,000 people welcomed the Dallas Mavericks home from Los Angeles following the team’s Game 7 loss to the Lakers Saturday in the Western Conference finals.
As the players boarded a charter bus to leave Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Mavericks’ forward Mark Aguirre told the fans, “It’ll get better.”
One large sign read, “Next Year!”
