A U.S. Army helicopter on a training mission struck a power line and crashed in a field next to a busy West German highway, killing all three Americans on board, police said. The crash occurred near the village of Hittistetten, about 50 miles west of Munich. The UH-1H aircraft, assigned to the 193rd Aviation Company, a support unit of the 56th Field Artillery Brigade, was flying in formation with four other helicopters when it hit the power line and crashed, an Army spokesman said. The names of the dead were being withheld.
