Colts Will Open Summer Drills July 13
The Indianapolis Colts will open their 1988 NFL training camp July 13 at Anderson University.
That’s the day Coach Ron Meyer will welcome rookies, free agents, quarterbacks and veterans who were injured at the end of last season.
The rest of the team’s veterans will report to camp on July 20. The Colts will train at the university until Aug. 19, when they will move to their regular headquarters in Indianapolis.
The Colts won the AFC Eastern Division championship last year.
They will play exhibition games at Tampa Bay on Aug. 6 and at Denver on Aug. 25 and in their home Hoosier Dome against Green Bay on Aug. 13 and New Orleans on Aug. 20.
The Colts open the regular season at home against the Houston Oilers on Sept. 4.
