2 of 5 Winners in Lottery Claim Prizes
An El Cajon woman who helps run a construction company and a Palmdale auto mechanic are among five people who will share a Lotto 6/49 jackpot of $23.5 million, California Lottery officials said Thursday.
Theresa Adams of El Cajon and Dennis Swayze of Palmdale were the first two winners to claim their share of the prize, lottery spokesman John Schade said.
The five-way split was the first time that many players had won the Lotto 6/49 top prize. Other winning tickets were sold in Chula Vista, Hawthorne and Fremont. Each winner will claim $4.7 million, paid in 20 annual after-tax installments of $188,000.
