Third baseman Wade Boggs of the Boston Red Sox admitted he had an affair with the California woman who has filed a $6 million palimony suit against him but said he will not settle out of court.
“I don’t denounce that it was an affair,” Boggs said. “I was with her for two years and I tried to break it off for two years. My wife (Debbie) knows everything now.”
The lawsuit was filed June 3 by Margo Adams of Costa Mesa, Calif. “She’s not going to get a red cent. Not one,” Boggs said. “She doesn’t deserve it. I won’t settle. I have to do what I feel is the right thing.”
