Local News in Brief : Fullerton : Troy High School Wins Science Assn. Award
Troy High School is the California winner of this year’s Search for Excellence in Science Education award offered by the Secondary National Science Teachers’ Assn.
“As such, the school will receive a certificate of recognition from the state superintendent of public instruction; invitations to participate in science conferences, workshops and committees, and will be used as a model for visitation and consultation,” said Shirley Finton, spokeswoman for Fullerton Joint Union High School District.
Troy also becomes California’s entry in the competition to choose the nation’s top high school science-training program.
