U.S. Army Forces in Europe Get New Chief

HEIDELBERG, West Germany —
The commander of U.S. Army Europe, Gen. Glen K. Otis, on Friday turned over the command to Gen. Crosbie E. Saint during ceremonies in Heidelberg.
Otis, 59, who served more than five years as the U.S. Army Europe and Central Army Group commander, is retiring from the military after more than 38 years of service.
Saint, 51, previously served as commander of the Army’s 3rd Corps at Ft. Hood, Tex.
