Mississippi Mea Culpa

Share

I read with great interest Patrick Goldstein’s article concerning the filming of “Mississippi Burning” (“Another Long Hot Summer,” June 5).

In that article I was quoted as saying, “No one has questioned the right of the Jewish community, which controls the media, to retell the story of the Holocaust.”

That was an inaccurate statement which I deeply regret having made. It certainly does not reflect my feelings, and I sincerely apologize for any confusion and to anyone who may have read it and been offended.
