It may not seem like anyone associated with this week’s hit film, Touchstone/Disney’s “Who Framed Roger Rabbit,” has gone unpublicized--but there is at least one person: Gary Wolf. Wolf’s 1981 novel “Who Censored Roger Rabbit?” served as the basis for the screenplay and he is amazed at the way his modest idea has gone through the roof. “(People) are now meeting in all manners of places, in small rooms, based on something I did to amuse myself over my kitchen table,” said Wolf to the Boston Herald. Wolf says Roger is “really a character for the ‘80s. He’s got more angst than some of the older cartoon characters and he goes through all kinds of emotions. You wouldn’t see Mickey Mouse do that.”
