Two Anaheim men remained hospitalized in stable condition Thursday after a neighborhood argument turned into a shooting Wednesday evening.

“It appears a broken-window incident from several days earlier kind of came to a head,” Anaheim Police Sgt. John Haradon said.

Marco Ochoa, 24, Gilberto Ochoa, 26, and Martin Cisneros, 24, were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon in the shooting that occurred outside of their home on the 800 block of North Topeka Street.

Haradon said the victims, Dante Serrano and Richard Acevedo of Anaheim, apparently got into a fight with the three others about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when they were out walking.

One of the three residents went back into the house and came out with a gun. Serrano was shot in the shoulder, and Acevedo was shot in the leg.

Police are still investigating, but Haradon said the shooting does not appear to be related to gangs.
