Just when you thought it was safe to go see a movie and not hear a Kenny Loggins song on the sound track . . . he’s back! This time Loggins’ has performed “Nobody’s Fool,” the first single from the sound track to “Caddyshack II.” (It’s due out this week.) In fact, the album for “Caddy II,” which stars Jackie Mason, is rife with sound-track vets like the Pointer Sisters (who contribute “Power of Persuasion”) and Earth Wind & Fire (who do “Turn On the Beat Box”) as well as songs by Cheap Trick, Patty Smith and Lisa Lisa & the Cult Jam. . . . Neil Young has been recording a live album on his Bluenotes tour dates--tentatively titled, “This Note’s for You Too.” . . . Dwight Yoakam’s next album, due out later this summer, will be titled “Buenos Noches From a Lonely Room.” . . . Greg Allman returns later this month with “Just Before the Bullets Fly,” a new album featuring “Can’t Get Over You” and a re-make of Clarence Carter’s immortal “Slip Away.” . . . Watch for the mid-month release of “Straight Line Through Time,” the new album from local rockers Broken Homes. It features such songs as “The Howling,” “All Is Forgiven,” “Seeds I’ve Sown” and “All You Want Is Everything.” . . . The newly revived (or is that de -vived) Devo has a new drummer--David Kendrick, formerly of Gleaming Spires and Sparks, who will be on tour with the band later this summer. . . . And our Album Title of the Week goes out to the Style Council, whos upcoming record is called “Confessions of a Pop Group.”
