From Reuters
TOKYO —
North Korea said Saturday that South Korean troops fired machine guns at a post in the demilitarized zone separating the two nations.
The north’s official Korean Central News Agency, monitored in Tokyo, said the firing toward the northern post, south of Changpoong in the western sector, took place at about 7 p.m. Friday.
The agency did not say whether any injuries or damage resulted.
In Seoul, a South Korean Defense Ministry official denied the accusations.
