Silicon Systems posted net income of $3.5 million for its third quarter ended June 25, contrasted with net income of $737,000 for the period last year. Sales for the quarter were $31.6 million, up 52% from $20.8 million for the period a year ago. Net income for the first nine months of fiscal 1988 was $8.8 million; it was $1.4 million for the period a year earlier. Revenues totaled $85.5 million, a 48% increase from the $57.7 million posted in the comparable period of fiscal 1987. Silicon Systems is based in Tustin and designs, manufactures and markets integrated circuits.
