Dataproducts Creates a Credit Service Subsidiary

Share

Dataproducts, a Woodland Hills maker of computer printers, said it formed a finance subsidiary to provide additional credit to its customers.

The program is aimed at giving Dataproducts’ clients, such as the re-sellers who market computer packages that include Dataproducts’ machines, extra borrowing power beyond what is available from banks and other so-called primary lenders.

Robert S. Shultz, Dataproducts’ director of customer finance, said its Dataproducts Acceptance subsidiary would enable the company’s smaller customers “to expand their sales by making it possible for them to carry more products.”
