Anacomp Inc., an Indianapolis-based computer services company, has signed a letter of intent to purchase disk drive maker Xidex Corp. for about $415 million in cash, the companies announced. Anacomp, a leading supplier of micrographics products, said it will pay $10 for each of Santa Clara, Calif.-based Xidex’s 41.5 million outstanding shares. The transaction, which requires the approval of both boards of directors, will result in a company with annual revenues of about $1 billion. A definitive agreement is expected to be reached by the end of the month, the companies said in a statement.
