Skouras Pictures Inc., a Hollywood distributor of such foreign films as the Academy Award nominee “My Life as a Dog,” plans to raise $4.8 million in an initial public offering of 600,000 common shares. In a filing with the SEC, the film distributor said its founder, Chairman and President Dmitri Skouras, and other investors may sell 200,000 more shares at $7 to $8 each. Skouras may sell 64,759 shares, reducing his stake to 28.1% from 42.9%, while Western Communications Inc. of Walnut Creek, Calif., may reduce its stake to 18.2% from 28.6% through the sale of 46,615 shares. The firm plans to use proceeds to repay $1 million in debt.
