The Worst Fears

Share

I’m impelled to comment briefly on Howard Rosenberg’s implication that Americans’ dread of getting older is “fear of dying” (“NBC Documentary Series: Fluff for a Summer’s Eve,” July 12). Not so.

Major fears are impoverishment, loneliness, loss of daily functions and debilitating illnesses.
