Statistical Leaders Belong on All-Star Team
Baseball should adopt a rule requiring the top 10 leaders in home runs, runs batted in and batting average to automatically become a member of the team. This would end the annual embarrassment of omitting a top player such as Cleveland’s Joe Carter, who is among the league leaders in home runs and RBIs.
