Liza Off the Rocks

What Diana Mclean failed to “see” is that it is Dudley Moore in that ad for “Arthur 2 on the Rocks” who is holding the champagne glass, not Liza Minnelli (Calendar Letters, July 10).

Obviously, McLean hasn’t seen the movie and forgets that the title has a double meaning, and that in the end Arthur quits drinking and becomes a new man.

As for Liza being “pious,” Mclean doesn’t want to give her credit for being honest and having the courage to go public.

But then McLean’s judgment based on a movie ad is as fictional as the character Dudley Moore plays.
