When It Comes to Working for the Japanese, Old Stereotypes Are Neither Useful Nor Valid

Share

I remember that back in the 1950s, we had a sort of standard joke about the Japanese buying a product from Sears, taking it back to Japan, and then figuring out a way to build it for half the price. It only seems logical that they are now doing exactly the same thing with American managerial techniques. Before long, the American managers will be released and replaced with their Japanese counterparts, who will continue to operate in the same way, but for a lower wage.
