Conserving Water to Tap Development
Southern California residents have been called upon to conserve water in the wake of the current water shortage. Yet the subject of water has not been raised in regard to the continued residential development in Orange County. There is not enough water now. Apparently for there to be enough water for the thousands of new homes, I along with the other current residents must cut back on water usage.
I am being asked to indirectly help subsidize new development. It is yet another example of how current residents are being put out to allow development that continues to erode our quality of life in Orange County. I don’t support the new development. And I’m not against water conservation. But I’m not going to conserve just so there will be enough water to supply the new houses being built in the parched foothills and valleys of south Orange County.
