California Amplifier Gets $2.5 Million in Contracts

California Amplifier, a Camarillo electronics company, reported that it has been awarded three new contracts worth a combined $2.5 million.

The first, valued at $1.2 million, is with Westinghouse Electric Corp., which has hired California Amplifier to build microwave equipment used in the radar system of the F-16 fighter aircraft.

The others, worth about $1.3 million, were awarded by Texas Instruments, which needs microwave equipment for the radar systems aboard P3, S3 and A-12 aircraft.

California Amplifier also announced that it has reduced its indebtedness to creditors from $1.15 million to $110,000. Creditors were given about 227,000 shares of California Amplifier stock at a discount from the market price.
