In the show-must-go-on department, Paul L. Nolan of the Gaslamp Quarter Theatre’s “A Walk Out of Water” developed a blood clot in his arm Tuesday, and Doug Roberts, who recently closed in the Gaslamp’s “Betrayal” July 2, filled in on 24 hours’ notice. Roberts was on the book Wednesday, dispensed with it for Act One on Thursday and knew his part thoroughly by Friday. According to the Gaslamp, no one asked for refunds. Nolan is expected back on stage Wednesday.
