Schlumberger Ltd.’s second-quarter profit more than tripled to $144 million from $30 million a year ago. Revenue totaled $1.35 billion, up 22%. The New York diversified company attributed the results to increased oil field services revenue and a higher rig count as well as firmer prices for services and market gains.
