Sun Life Acquires 6.2% of Advest Group

A group led by Sun Life USA of Los Angeles has acquired a 6.2% stake in Advest Group as an investment, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
From Oct. 26 to July 18, the group bought 643,800 Advest common shares for a total of $4.7 million. Based in Hartford, Conn., Advest provides financial services. Sun Life is a life insurance concern.
