A Santa Paula man sought for investigation in the shooting death of his 2-year-old daughter and wounding of his estranged wife surrendered to authorities at the U.S.-Mexico border, officials said. Cristobal Robles, 26, told border guards police were seeking him because he shot someone Thursday night, Santa Paula police said. Robles was turned over to Santa Paula officers and was being held in the Ventura County jail for investigation of murder and attempted murder, officers said. Killed was Crissy Robles, who died in the emergency room at Santa Paula Memorial Hospital. Her mother, Rebecca Zepeda Robles, 24, was in stable condition, recovering from a single gunshot wound to the chest.
