Comprehensive Care Corp., Irvine, reported that earnings for the fiscal year ended May 31 dropped 26%, to $9 million from $12.1 million for the prior year. The provider of alcohol and drug abuse treatment programs said revenue increased 9%, to $212 million from $194.9 million. For the fourth quarter of fiscal 1988, earnings fell 15%, to $2.4 million from $2.8 million for the comparable quarter a year ago. Revenue rose 13%, to $59 million from $52.2 million. The company said fourth-quarter results reflect losses associated with the closing of its CareUnit Behavioral Center of Los Angeles and the opening of a new facility in San Diego.
