Fighting broke out among inmates and correctional officers at a maximum-security prison in Baltimore, injuring eight guards, a civilian prison psychologist and three inmates, authorities said. The prison was secured and placed in lockdown within an hour, said State Police spokesman Cpl. Greg Shipley. Police said no prisoners escaped. The disturbance began in the recreation yard and spread to a clinic where the psychologist was having a session with inmates, and erupted again in another section of the yard. Prison officials did not know the reason for the fighting.
