Glenfed said it earned $52.1 million in its fourth quarter, up 33% from last year, while annual earnings reached a record $169 million, up 4% from year-ago levels. Revenue for the quarter totaled $640 million, up 15%. Annual revenue was $2.4 billion, a gain of 9% over 1987. The Glendale-based parent company of Glendale Federal Savings & Loan said the results reflect increased market share and geographic expansion in major markets while keeping operating expenses virtually unchanged from last year.
