Assistant U.S. Trade Representative Bruce Wilson said the effort to end subsidies to Airbus Industrie, the European plane manufacturing consortium, was at an impasse and trade action was being weighed by the Reagan Administration. Wilson told the Washington Aero Club that U.S. officials had tried for more than two years to end Airbus’ billions of dollars in subsidies and its unfair marketing practices. Other U.S. officials said the Airbus case is at the White House for a decision on whether to press an unfair trade case against the four nations that finance Airbus Industrie, West Germany, France, Britain and Spain.
